Details Of The Text: taught Kṛṣṇa Yv. and a. of Baudh. Sūtras; a complete set of the Baudh. Sūtras has not yet been recovered; Dr. Burnell arranges Baudhāyana's Sūtras into six divisions ̶ the Śrautasūtras, Karmāntasūtras, Dvaidhasūtras, Gṛhyasūtras, Dharmasūtras and Śulbasūtras. In the Baudhāyanadharmasūtra (II. 5. 27.) Kaṇva Bodhāyana, Āpastamba Sūtrakāra and Satyāṣādha Hiraṇyakeśin are mentioned From this Kaṇva (Kāṇva) Bodhāyana is not identical with Baudhāyana, a. of above mentioned works. The Mysore Edn. of the Dharma Sūtras reads the Sūtras as that of Bodhāyana whereas the Ānandāśrama edn. reads as that of Baudhāyana. For further details see Kane, HDS. I. Revised Edn. pp. 38 ff.
