Details Of The Author: grammarian and Lexicographer. son of Bhagura, disciple of Bṛhat Garga. Contributed to several branches of Skt. lit.; lived prior to Pāṇini as known from the quote in Nyāsa (vaṣṭi bhāgurirallopā). Ref. by Jinendrabuddhi (Nyāsa on Kāśikā 6 ̶ 2 ̶ 37) and Jagadīśa Tarkālaṅkāra (Patañjali refers to Bhagurī I. 7 ̶ 3 ̶ 45, possibly a scholarly sister of Bhāguri).
