Details Of The Author: middle of 17th Cent.; belongs to Kāśyapagotra Kulins of Rāḍhāpura in Bengal; disciple of Bhavānanda Siddhāntavāgīśa, son of Kāśinātha Bhaṭṭācārya and father of Cirañjīva Bhaṭṭācārya alias Rāmadeva (a. of Vidvanmodataraṅgiṇī, MD. 12170). Protege of Kṛpārāma, favoured by Jehangir and Shahjehan. At the age of 16, the a. got the title Śatāvadhāna Bhaṭṭācārya for his feats of memory. See Kane, HDS.
